ARMA International 

ARMA International ARMA International is a not-for-profit professional association and the authority on governing information as a strategic asset. The association was established in 1955. Its members include records and information managers, information governance professionals, archivists, corporate librarians, imaging specialists, legal professionals, IT managers, consultants, and educators, all of whom work in a wide variety of industries, including government, legal, healthcare, financial services, and petroleum in the United States, Canada, and more than 30 other countries around the globe. SWRAI 

Southwest Region ARMA InternationalSouthwest Region ARMA International is the largest of ARMA's regions in the United States. It covers the states of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana,Oklahoma and New Mexico (TALON). There are 16 active chapters in Southwest Region. Total membership for the region is well over 1300.  

 

Southwest Region Team is comprised of a director (Mary Beth Hames) who oversees a team of chapter advisors. The chapter advisors are divided into one of three functional areas of focus: membership and marketing (John Spencer); educational programming (Kevin Waldrup, CRM); or operations and governance (Emily Martin, MLIS, CRM). The focus areas provide leadership support and direction to those chapter board members whose jobs correspond within one of these areas. Region leaders are knowledgeable volunteers who have served at the chapter level. The Region Team also includes a Southwest Region Secretary (Tom Forsyth, CRM), Treasurer (Nick Oudie), and Webmaster (Cliff C. Serrano). 

 

Southwest Region offers financial assistance and grants to chapters for educational projects and long-term records and information management projects. A Grant Committee is responsible for reviewing and approving/disapproving region grant submissions.
